Ingredients:
Leftover rice
1 onion medium
2 Green chillies
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Carrot(optional)
Curry Leaves (8 -10)
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
salt-to taste.
Oil for frying
Lemon juice 1 tblsp.
Method:
- In hot oil put mustard seeds to splutter,green chillies,Onion.
- Stir fry for a minute.
- Add left over rice, turmeric powder and salt.
- Cover it and cook for 5 more minutes.
- Serve Hot.
Making Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4 persons.
Shelflife: Best fresh.
Note: Vegetables of choice can be added to this recipe. Vegetables like carrots , potatos and peas can be added. Half boil them and later stir fry before add the recipe to the thadka.
